Meet Greenwood's Coaches

Coach Meg

We are excited Coach Meg will be leading the charge for SoleKIDS at Greenwood in the fall.  Meg’s family was part of the SoleKIDS program its inaugural year at Central and is thrilled to make the program possible at the elementary school she loves.

Coach Kristi

I’m Kristi! I was a running-hater until 2009 when, through a bootcamp class, I felt a sense of amazement and achievement at running 1 mile! That pushed me to see what else I could do. I felt a sense of accomplishment with every running achievement.

I am looking forward to helping with SoleKIDS again this year and watching your kids’ excitement as they achieve their running goals. I am hopeful that SoleKIDS will be the beginning of many memorable running experiences for them and will teach them that they can do hard things!

Coach Rachel

I am a mom of three kids, a 90-pound Bernese Mountain Dog and I love running. Ok, maybe I don’t always love it…it challenges me. Somedays my legs feel like lead, or my right knee (where I told my ACL), hurts, or my breathing is off. But as I work through it and finish the run, the feelings of a good cardio workout and perseverance are amazing. I look forward to running with the elementary students in La Grande and hope they find the same wonderful feelings as they challenge themselves with a good run.

The number of kids who can participate in the SoleKIDS program is driven by the number of coaches and adults we have running with the kids. We would love to continue to grow the program in the Grande Ronde Valley. Contact katie@solekids.org to learn more.
